The Head Writer hires a team of writers and directs that group in writing category opens, award intros, and promotional content for both the Gala and Majestic shows. They work closely with the Content Producer to develop concepts and collaborate with the Music Composer to write lyrics for the opening number. The Head Writer must be able to adapt to the voices of hosts and presenters. They will ensure a cohesive tone and sense of humor for The EVVYs and are responsible for the finalization of the script and necessary rewrites. Must attend weekly production staff meetings and be available full time during Gala and Majestic production week. May be multiple. If interested in this position, please provide a writing sample.
